It certainly has been a good day for observing the birds

Evening Grosbeak close-up. The female has a thin, dark "whisker" stripe.
Zooming in on a Bald Eagle who is perched where he can overlook the lake.
I sometimes get the Downy and Hairy Woodpeckers confused, but I think this is the Hairy, which is the bigger of the two.

Wonderful birds. I just love how you are able to get such personality in your photos.
The Downy and the Hairy are hard to tell. From that angle it would be impossible.
