She saw the flowers at the last second and almost fell flat on her face in an effort to avoid crushing them with her feet. Recovering, she zigzagged crazily around intending to keep going, but instead stopped a few feet away. She paused, catching her breath. Standing there like a fool, not really knowing what to do, she thought about the last time she had come this way and scattered the seeds. Now she felt responsible for the small plant that had sprouted in the middle of the pathway. Someone else stopped and after she explained the situation, together they created a detour - a kind of traffic roundabout with the violets in the center.
