a desiccated flower in the garden
where the wild roses grow
We have had very little snow this winter with mostly mild temperatures. Just when we had become lulled into thinking that spring was close by, Mother Nature surprised us with a magnificent snowfall. Yesterday, it snowed and snowed and snowed. Every so often we would go out to clear a path and brush away the snow from the bird feeders. Sometime during the supper hour it finally stopped, and we were left with a beautiful calm night and, of course, a great amount of snow.
