Friday's Flower

Sweet Pea (two-toned)
These were the last of this year's sweet peas.

In the Garden

The first Sweet Peas are about to blossom, and the Geraniums, too, are in bud.

This is one of the original plants that I brought inside last fall and overwintered.

This wary little chipmunk sits here almost every morning. He knows I am taking his picture and at the first chance scampers away.

July 1st
Happy Canada Day!

Special thoughts and wishes for Canadians who are abroad.

Sweet Pea Blossoms

"Here are sweet peas, on tip-toe for a flight:
With wings of gentle flush o'er delicate white,
And taper fingers catching at all things,
To bind them all about with tiny rings.
"
~ John Keats (1795-1821)

from I Stood Tip-Toe Upon a Little Hill

Many thanks to our kind hosts at Today's Flowers
