I have chosen to present the colorful Gaillardia, a perennial from the sunflower family. It grows in my garden from a package of seeds I scattered several years ago. Every day the bees come to forage for nectar and pollen. Some of the petals have fallen away from the bristly flower heads, but they still look very lovely. I hope you will enjoy these pictures.
